ASTA provides programs and resources for its members and the broader spice industry to promote fairness and integrity in the trade and enhance member value. This is ASTA’s trade resources section for ASTA members to easily access information and resources for the following:

 

ASTA’s Arbitration Program and ASTA Contracts – ASTA offers arbitration for disputes that may arise in transactions using an ASTA contract.

Supply Chain Responsibility – ASTA is committed to promoting integrity in spice supply chains and offers programs on self-regulation and supply chain responsibility.

General Publications and Resources – ASTA has developed resources that provide basic information on spices, including ASTA’s Concise Guide on Spices, Herbs, Seeds, & Extracts, ASTA’s Spice Monographs, Spices 101, and more!

ASTA’s Check Sample Program – ASTA offers a laboratory proficiency program for labs involved in the spice industry to compare and evaluate laboratory capabilities.

ASTA’s Career Center – ASTA maintains a Career Center that allows employers to seek qualified professionals by posting new job openings.

Susan L. Abbott Memorial Scholarship – Susan L Abbott served as president of ASTA from 1998 to 2000. To commemorate Susan’s life and work, ASTA and Roy Langhans, her husband, created a scholarship in her memory. ASTA matches Langhan’s donation every year to offer two $1,000 scholarships to member company families. ASTA also accepts donations to fund.
