Leadership

In 2007, ASTA’s President’s gathered to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the association in Laguna Niguel, CA.

ASTA’s leadership represents the diversity of its membership. ASTA relies on the expertise of its member volunteers through participation in committees to carry out the strategic plan for the association.

ASTA Board of Directors
The ASTA Board of Directors brings a range of experience in the spice industry to its deliberations to successfully govern the association. The Nominating Committee selects the slate of candidates to be nominated for election annually by the membership.
ASTA Committees
ASTA’s committees align with the strategic goals of ASTA’s strategic plan. Like the Board of Directors, ASTA draws on the expertise of members from a range of experience throughout member companies – quality control, regulatory, supply chain, sourcing, sales, technical and more. Committees, subcommittees and task forces are assigned as needed to carry out the work on specific projects.
ASTA’s Arbitration Board
ASTA’s arbitration process is overseen by the Arbitration Board which is elected annually by the ASTA membership.
Marty Mitchell Outstanding Service Award
Awards are given to volunteers in recognition of their work on a committee, project or other contributions to further the mission and strategic goals of ASTA. Recipients are nominated by the ASTA staff and confirmed by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. In years that there are worthy recipients, the award is presented during the ASTA Annual Meeting.
