ASTA’s Membership and Outreach Committee has organized a beach cleanup. Volunteer with ASTA for a beach cleanup at Ocean Beach on Sunday, April 19 from 8:00am – 11:00am. Beach cleanups have an immediate positive impact on our environment by removing trash before it infiltrates our inland and coastal waters. The cleanup is being organized through San Diego Coastkeeper, a non-profit organization committed to protecting and restoring fishable, swimmable, and drinkable waters in San Diego County. There is no cost to participate, but you must register in advance and spots are limited. Transportation and cleanup supplies will be provided. More details will be provided to volunteers at a later date. To participate, sign up here.
