The three part-webinar series on validation of microbial reduction processes began with Part I on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Dr. James Dickson of Iowa State University and Maile Hermida of Hogan Lovells presented information on validation beginning with an overview of general concepts of validation, new regulatory requirements under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and customer expectations. The second webinar in July will examine how to design and conduct a validation study and the final session in August will detail preparation of the report and next steps.
