Cheryl Deem has been with ASTA since January 2003. As the Executive Director for the association she has oversight of all ASTA programs. She works with the ASTA Board of Directors to set the strategic direction of the association and then works with the ASTA team to ensure the goals are met. She serves as the lead staff liaison on the ASTA Annual Meeting Program, Education and Food Safety Committees. Cheryl represents ASTA at a variety of spice industry meetings around the world and those travels have taken her to various spice growing regions including China, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Turkey.
She has worked in Association management for more than 25 years. Cheryl has a journalism degree and started her career as a radio news anchor and reporter.
